A great game from a good franchise that is finally getting back to what it's good at. I was worried after the disaster that was Dragon Age 2, but this hit all the right notes from DA: Origins and added a few more. And I love the new Dragon Keep model, where you can go online and customize your 'starting world' experience based on who you played in the first two games and what decisions you made. It makes it easy for those of us who played it on multiple platforms (PC vs Xbox 360) to still have carry over from all our games, and not have to worry about glitches from conflicting choices. Changing your starting world makes entire sections of the game feel knew each time you play through it, and I love the variety of conversations and cut scenes that occur because of those decisions and the ones you make throughout the game. You can play it has a hack-n-slash and ignore all that if you want, but for me that's where most of the fun is. I've been through the entire game twice, and am about to finish my third run through. And even with those hours upon hours of playtime, I'm considering a fourth time just because of a few alternatives I haven't explored yet in game. I love it!
I do somewhat miss the darker tone of Origins in this title, but everything else in this game MORE than makes up for it. I've had it for PS4 since launch, but it's easier to get clips straight from the source, rather than sending them to Facebook or YouTube, when I just want to have them on my PC, so that's why I ordered this. DEFINITELY worth playing multiple times.
You will need a lot and I mean a lot of patience to play this game. It is not well developed as far a characters appearance and equipment goes. I don't think this is the same team that brought us Dragon Age Origins . Too many things in the game did not make sense . At any rate it has a good story line, good characters and banter but it's all over the place, tons of decisions and different outcomes but none were thought through, too many cliff hangers and confusing. Restarted the game 5 times and still I am confused.
