I absolutely love this game! I got this for my daughter to add to switch she received for Christmas. What I didn't expect is how much I loved the game. The way it plays out is almost nostalgic. Each world or island is from a different movie in the franchise. It allows you to play through the biggest scenes from each movie. This game had me laughing and smiling like a 6yo when I learned I could play as a dinosaur. At first I wasn't a fan of the voice over characters. Older lego game characters never spoke at all. They just sort of did the Charlie Brown adult talk. Now when the characters speak I can picture the actors in the film saying the lines. It's strange that I'm saying this but it's an immersive experience. The graphics are surprisingly great. You can see rain splashing in puddles, see your legs and feet while standing in clear water. This is the most fun lego game I've ever played. Usually my daughter has to pretty much beg me to play a video game with her. Not with this game though. I usually end up playing longer than her.
Very good game it your child likes lego and Dinosaurs. Our 8 year old enjoyed the game a lot. Only downfall might be that it's to short and he seemed to complete the game quickly. I would highly recommend Lego World and the sandbox mode if your child likes lego's and building.
Granted, they're all kind of the same, hence the 4 stars vs 5 stars. If you've played one Lego game then you're going to know what you get with them all. This one is a nice change since you get to go between the two different groups, the original and the new world. And you get to play as a dinosaur sometimes to smash things up.Gameplay is smooth, we had no issues with controls or vehicles, and the graphics are vibrant and crisp. Whether on the switch itself (as we prefer to play) or on the TV, it looks good.If you enjoy the Lego games as my son and I do, this is a good addition to the collection.
