This item worked well for about 6 or 7 weeks. Somewhere around that point, the microphone stopped working, resulting in other people not being able to hear the user. The speaker in the ear piece still works. The seller only has a 30-day return policy, so this was a waste of a purchase.
COMPLETE AND UTTER GARBAGEThis is my 3rd purchase of this piece of junk. The wire goes bad after a few months on every unit. This has happened to everyone else I know who has owned one. I keep purchasing for lack of a better simple chat headset option. Have tried other cheap brands and they break also. Not sure why an original Nintendo controller from the 1980s can be made to last decades while this piece of junk fails in a few months. Highly likely it's designed to break so Microsoft can continue to rake in millions and take advantage of the average working American. Despicable Microsoft.
This worked fine for almost 10 weeks, but then the mic just died one day in the middle of chatting while playing a game. MS really needs to do something about this. It's pretty much junk. Only buy this if you're OK with replacing it within six months (or probably much less.)
